At St James’, most people give by standing order, so we do not take a collection during our services.
The Bible is clear that we should put aside an amount at the beginning of the week (1 Cor 16:2), and that we should give generously (Luke 6:38). So rather than give God the loose change in our pocket, many of our members give a percentage of their income.
