This is a local charity that we support at St James. When the church is open there is a box at the back for people to put dry food, tins, cereals, sometimes nappies or sanitary products. The charity is run by a Catholic order, who distribute food parcels to around 20 – 30 families a week in Southampton. If you’re interested in seeing how they run, they’d love to show you round. Just get in touch!

Good morning Simon,
On Monday we went to St Joseph’s and secretly delivered all the Harvest Festival food from St James. It looked great sitting there waiting for the helpers to come in on Thursday and get a nice surprise.

Poitier Coffee morning 16th November 2024
We held a coffee morning to raise extra funds for Poitier for Christmas food and extra treats over the festive season. An amazing £440 was raised! This will be used to purchase vital food and some extra Christmassy treats for family in need.

Dear Simon with all your Loving generosity and support we have fed 83 families this Christmas. Happy Christmas and a huge thanks to all our friends at St James’ from Jenny.
On Saturday 11th November 2023 we held our annual Poitier Cake sale in the Church Hall. We raised nearly £400 for this great cause.
